Here are links to music that you won’t hear at Oriental Garden, yet which are worth giving a listen to all the same:

Tenchu: Stealth Assassins soundtrack – Tenchu was a stealth action game that came out right around Y2K. You played one of two ninja’s, Rikimaru or Ayame, and you carried out a different mission for each level. Your ninja relied on stealth to make it through each level. The less you were detected, the better your rewards would be at the end of the level. This was a very fun game with a great soundtrack (composed by Noriyuki Asakura).

Ghost In The Shell soundtrack – “Who are you? Who slips into my robot body and whispers to my ghost?” This is a pretty cool musical piece by Kenji Kawai. It has some very beautiful aspects to it ( Utai II – Ghost City ). The light drumming and vocals create a neat atmosphere. This is the first of a few Ghost In The Shell films.

Akira soundtrack – “Neo-Tokyo is about to E.X.P.L.O.D.E.”. This is a very cool film from back in the day, and it has a pretty cool soundtrack (written by Tsutomu Ōhashi) to go along with it. Lots of neat drumming and chanting here.
